So, as many of you are aware, we've had a bit of inventory issue lately. Who knew the quick little fix I applied 3 weeks ago to some bad deprecated code in regards to inventory items would open this pandora's box we've been dealing with? Well, open it I did, and fixing it we are. Gosh I love sounding like Yoda! The primary items being affected: Clothes (you create new ones, but editing and saving is where issues come in)... Skins, Shapes, Scripts. These are all having the same problems in the inventory pane. Scripts are not affected when done inside a prim InWorldz. The Pandora's box had two resolutions: Either we revert back to the bad code that I fixed, or we fix it. I'm personally not up for allowing bad code to run, no matter how many leaks it's plugging. So we've diagnosed, we know what it's doing, we're working on fixing it ASAP. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Quick update, we reverted SOME of the code that was causing issues, however, this is not a satisfactory resolution to the inventory issues, as there are deep underlying fundamental issues with the inventory code. We will be working on this today and the next couple of days to fix and correct the code as it should be written. We'll do testing on Beta Grid when we're ready so everyone can give us feedback on it.

I did forget to mention something hehe. When researching the issue last night, one thing was fixed that should make you guys happy... Purge! Purge to your hearts content! Don't have to do it in little steps anymore! Just empty that trash! And you can also now get rid of those spare folders So while it's a minor fix in one way, it's actually a HUGE fix in another as it no longer is a huge time delay that will crash your viewers

Actually the full bug was it allowed Me to rename the folder or at least I thought it had since it appeared to. Same for the clothing pieces they were uploaded and appeared to be renamed. The prim parts actually were able to be renamed that was a plus not much help however without the other two. I couldn't even move anything into the folder that was created.
I logged out of SI in with the IW viewer and tried to rename that didn't even work. As much as that would have made the task harder I would have lived with it. It's just too confusing to leave them all named. New Shirt, New Socks, New Jacket and New Folder. That's the reason for waiting. Just like to keep the jobs as simple as possible otherwise it will be a huge confusing mess later.

Ok I just did a test, well several actually. I created a new pair of Pants in SL, named them Eles SI Test Pants. Then I logged in with SI (version 1.2.1.2), and backed them up onto my hd. Logged into InWorldz with SI, restored them, and check folder in SI, under Clothing, and there they were. Then I logged in with InWorldz viewer, yes, there they were under Clothing named as I had named them in SL. I made a new folder in InWorldz, Eles SI Folder Test, it was there after a relog. Then I logged out of InWorldz, then back in on SI again, made a new folder eles folder creation SI test, then uploaded the pants again, they still defaulted to the Clothing folder, but the folder was still there and named properly in the InWorldz viewer. Did I miss anything, because this all looks to be working correctly, but I'm running an old version of SI, prior to the changes made to accommodate the nameless grid.

Glad you didn't say Upgrades here.. more like downgrades for all I have seen. But I suppose, you need to talk to the least common denominator.. ie the nameless grid.

Actually as rosa stated. I use the latest release of SI as I was forced to download and install it to have SI work for me. It wasn't a choice I was given. The bugs I presented were perhaps the cause of that. Which is a pain as that means they may never be fixed as they're not then perhaps a direct relation to an IW issue. That sucks though I will wait to hear if my beliefs are true.
