First of all you'll need an avatar account go here to create one. Next you'll need a viewer. At this time our InWorldz viewer is undergoing builds and testing. You can use any viewer out there for now including the LL viewer. I recommend the hippo which you can get here. Now you'll need to add some argument strings in the properties shortcut tab for your viewer shortcut. It should look something like this in the target line : "C:\Program Files\Hippo_OpenSim_Viewer\Hippo_OpenSim_Viewer.exe" -loginuri http://inworldz.com:8002/ -helperuri http://inworldz.com/Login and voila, welcome InWorldz!

After hearing of some folks having issues with Hippo I've made a shot of my grids screen setup. Hippo also was recently updated so make sure you grab that!

Hi, i just joined and hope to eventually visit inwordz. I have an intel mac--and i must use hippo to connect--i downloaded the correct version, did the settings that i for in the email. I went to hippo, clicked on grid, and got the window--i put in the url and i made sure, per the email, that it was set to open sim. clicked appy and then logged in ( verified my login info by the way) and then:
it hung there and hung there and i get "we were unable to connect because we experienced an unexpected problem".
also when i asked hippo to grab the grid information it was unable to connect to the server.
Here are the instructions:
Load the Viewer
Select the Grids button at the bottom of the interface
In the new window Hippo pops up, you'll see an Add button, press the button (this will clear all fields below)
For the field Login URI: type in 'http://inworldz.net:8002/' (no apostrophes)
Check the drop down box is set for OpenSim
Click OK
Type in User First name and Last name, and password, and that is it!
I noticed that we are entering on port 8002--is there an alternate to try--any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks--John

John,
Actually, if you change the connect URL to: For the field Login URI: type in 'http://inworldz.com:8002/' (no apostrophes)
It should be .com not .net
Sorry about that!

This is the connection screen information for Hippo. On newer version, or Meerkat this may appear a bit different but the information is here. Attachment:
