Yeah, too simple.

In the affected cases, there's nothing for the reset to restore, unless there's a script that specifically sets sit targets, or loads them from a config file (like MLP).

And then try and get the word out to the customers about resetting their scripts or rerezzing their items.
You don't really need to contact them all individually unless it's very easy for you. If you have a store group, what I'd do is just post a notice. It could say that if anyone has trouble with sit positions, they should either reset the object, or rez a new copy from inventory. And if they cannot resolve it themselves, to contact you and you can send them a fresh copy (or exchange a nonfunctional one if it's no-copy).

Edit: rereading this... maybe that's what you were saying.

Being into breedables, I don't think I'd want to risk the mayhem a rollback could cause.

Luckily, I don't have that many to go through so don't need to.

A general comment for everyone interested here. In some cases it's easier to just roll back a region to the Oct 26 version...

If that is the cut-off date for accessing guaranteed unaffected copies of items with sit targets in them can I make a suggestion? Archive OARs from that date separately somewhere at server level until the whole situation can be assessed and possibly some universally acceptable solutions found. That's the earliest currently available set of OARs though so it would have to be done right now.
