FAQ - InWorldz Guide
What is InWorldz?
InWorldz is a Virtual World initially based off the OpenSim software. Efforts however, are being made to move past this source code and becoming closer to the Second Life standard for working improvements.
What does it cost?
InWorldz is a free Virtual World... Yes, that's right, FREE! There is no cost to create your own avatar, there is no membership fee, and you can even create your goods on our provided sandboxes!
What viewer can I use?
Currently, if you are a windows user, you may use our viewer for InWorldz, located here. However, if you need the Hippo viewer (for Linux users, sorry no MAC version yet available), you may download that here.

How do I connect with Hippo?
To connect with Hippo, follow these instructions:
Select the Grids button at the bottom of the interface
In the new window Hippo pops up, you'll see an Add button, press the button (this will clear all fields below)
For the field Login URI: type in 'http://inworldz.com:8002/' (no apostrophes)
Check the drop down box is set for OpenSim
Type in User First name and Last name, and password, and that is it!
Do uploads cost anything?
Currently, all uploads are free. We have no intentions of changing this in the future, as our goal is to allow creators do what they do best: create.
Can I buy land?
Yes, there are two types of land available: Private Isles and Mainland Regions. You may also rent parcels from various InWorldz land owners. We do not rent out parcels ourselves, as this would undermine our land owners.
What is a Private Isle?
Private Isles are full regions, not connected to the mainland, Sah'ra. Private Isles have far more functionality and management capabilities than a mainland region. Private Isles have no rating restrictions, allow estate managers, full flexibility of the estate tools. Private Isles come with a range of prims from 35,000 to 45,000, with the smallest allowable prim being .001 x .001 x .001 to the largest allowable of 128 x 128 x 128.
What is a Mainland Region?
Mainland regions are available and are a smaller price than Private Isles. Mainlands are restricted to PG content only, and do not have full Estate controls. You may not assign an estate manager, and terraforming is restricted to +/- 15m. Prim count is limited to 30,000 with the smallest allowable prim being .001 x .001 x .001 to the largest allowable of 128 x 128 x 128.
What do regions cost?
Currently, for beta pricing, all Private Isles are priced at $75/month, with no setup fees attached. Mainland pricing is at $60/month with no setup fees. This will be changing in the future. All Beta residents who purchase land now, will have grandfathered pricing for one year after we come out of beta.
How do I buy a region?
Log into InWorldz, to the InWorldz Desert Isle Location (79, 204, 29), and there is a Private Isle Region vendor. The vendor will walk you through setting up which island configuration you wish to use (10 different configurations which you can view starting at InWorldz Alpha), Region Name, Estate Name. And then proceed to direct you to your shopping cart to finish paying. ** Mainland regions not yet available!
If you are purchasing a Private Isle, select one of the InWorldz Oceans available on the map (be kind, please don't select one next to an existing region) and you'll see a "For Sale" button. clicking on this will bring you to a configuration sheet where you can enter the estate name and region name you would like. Allow up to 24hours for us to process this and get your region up and running. If you have any problems do not hesitate to contact us at support@inworldz.com
